Dr Guy Northridge

Guy Northridge qualified from Oxford University in 1978 having completed his clinical training at St. Thomas’ Hospital where he was awarded the Grainger prize in therapeutics. He continued his vocational training at St. Thomas’ Hospital where he held appointments as house officer to the Cardiology Unit and senior house officer to the Casualty Department. His surgical training was at St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey.

He subsequently completed a year’s training in paediatrics at St. Thomas’ Hospital with joint SHO responsibility for the neonatal intensive care unit during which time he obtained his Diploma in Child Health. He then spent a year as a medical registrar at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and obtained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1982. His year of training in general practice was completed in West London.

Dr. Northridge joined the Basil Street Practice in 1986 and held a concurrent part-time principalship in NHS general practice in Chelsea until 1996. His principal interests are in evidence-based adult general medicine.

He acts as medical advisor to a number of central London-based companies and hotels.
